 Pleasant Ridge Elementary School Virginia Beach, VA
Relocated in 1915 to serve as a one room schoolhouse for the black children of Virginia Beach. This restoration will serve as a historic reminder of early education in Virginia Beach. This Renovation Project was completed in 1997 by the Sheriff Frank Drew Community Work Force in cooperation with Councilwoman Barbara Henley. The schoolhouse is on the east side of Princess Anne Road in southern Pungo. It is located next to Asbury United Methodist Church. |
