Stone Family Cemetery Virginia Beach,
VA
Stone Family Cemetery sits behind PC's Gentleman's Club at 446 Oceana Boulevard. The location is across Oceana Boulevard from the runways of Oceana Master Jet Base. One must enter the PC's parking lot and drive to the back of the paved area to locate the cemetery. It is not visible from the main road. The cemetery is surrounded by a tall, locked fence and is lovingly cared for by the 4th generation namesake of John Woodhouse Stone, who is buried within its confines. John W. Stone's descendants, except for a long line of infant children, have been moved from this cemetery to Eastern Shore Chapel Cemetery. The Stone family farm is now Oceana Master Jet base. The family sold the property to the Navy in 1933 and moved to houses in nearby Oceana Gardens. Cemetery Photographed May 1, 2005. |
