Golden Grove Cemetery Neshoba Co, MS
Golden Grove Cemetery lies southeast of the Neshoba Community and northeast of the town of Union, MS. In the 19th century Golden Grove appears to have been located in a line of extended family connections that reached in Neshoba County from Dixon to House; and included the connecting areas of Kemper & Lauderdale county. Enon Baptist Church sits directly across the road from Golden Grove Cemetery. In the 19th century the Golden Grove Masonic Lodge is reported to have met in this church. Fire destroyed records of both the Church and the Masonic Lodge. With that fire we may have lost wonderful clues to the mysteries of our ancestors' past. |
