Egger Cemetery Caledonia, Lowndes Co, MS
Photo courtesy of Edna Edwards Directions from Columbus: Go north on US 45. Not too far past the main entrance to Columbus AFB, there is a road to the right, Kolola Springs Road. I believe there is a sign saying to Caledonia. (Kolola Springs community is on this road, but you probably won't realize you are going through it.) After some time, you will come to a four way stop sign. Go to the left, towards Caledonia. Soon, you will get to the little town of Caledonia, MS. There is only one stop light, by the city hall. Go straight though the stop light, then turn left after one block. This is Wolfe Road. Eventually, you will get to a fork in the road. Stay left, on Wolfe Road. After crossing over a small creek, you will come to the cemetery on your right. The gates are not closed, or at least they aren't closed during the day. |
