C. B. Ackiss Virginia Beach (formerly Princess Anne County), VA The cemetery is located in a field at the corner of Princess Anne Road and N. Muddy Creek Road. Fronting Princess Anne Road at the site is the Flanagan Farm Produce stand. In the picture to the left you can see the large tombstone of C. B. Ackiss far back in the field, just to the right of the white produce stand sign. There is a well manicured strawberry field between the produce stand and the cemetery. The tombstones of C. B. Ackiss and Josephine James sit slightly apart from the other tombstones. The remaining graves are in a densely grown area surrounding and under the large bush that is visible to the right of the tombstone and almost directly behind the light pole in the picture above. To reach some of the tombstones I had to climb under the bush and push away weeds. The cemetery is is great need of tender loving care. C. B. Ackiss was obviously a well respected man who deserves much better. Cemetery Photographed February 26, 2005. |
