The head of household was obviously deceased by 1870 when Sarah J is listed as a head of household in Newton Co, MS, enumerated next door to William Rutledge (born TN). Close neighbors are also the Rev. John C. Walton family. Descendants of Dr. Lewis W. Tyner indicate his wife Sarah to be a Rutledge. Could this Sarah Tiner be the Rutledge instead?
